Day 5 of Veggie Diet

Today, my Mom and I had an interesting discussion about my veggie diet in the car. My Mom asked me, “So how long do you have to do this vegetarian diet?” My reply: “Well, for this project, two more weeks. Although, if I like this diet, I might do it forever.” Oh ye of little faith. I’m focus and determined and that’s all that matters!

Today was a more focused and disciplined day. This morning, I had a Soy Chai Tea Latte from Starbucks. In the past, I’ve tried their regular Chai Tea Lattes and disliked them. I don’t know if either 1) they’ve improved the quality of their Chai Tea Lattes or 2) I like the soy milk better. Either way, it was DELICIOUS (and a great way to start the workday!).

Sometime this weekend, I will write a “special” post, listing my top recipes of the week!

Day 5: Friday, April 1st, 2011

Breakfast: 1 Banana

8 Strawberries

8 Blueberries

1 small handful of Mom’s Granola (Alicia Silverstone’s The Kind Life Cookbook)

1 small cup of Silk Vanilla Soy Milk

4 Prunes

Snack: 1 Grande Soy Chai Tea Latte (no whip cream)

Lunch: Smart-Ones: Pasta Primavera

1 serving of Applesauce

1 Special K Bar (100 calories)

Cranberry Juice

Dinner: 1 large cup of Silk Vanilla Soy Milk

Alicia’s Sexy Inspired Salad (The Kind Life Cookbook)

Dessert: 1 mini canolli

Snack: 1 Squirt (Pop)
