My Mom & I dined at Gordon Ramsay’s Pub & Grill on the first day of our Vegas vacation. Ever since we watch Haylie Duff consume a scotch egg on her Real Girl’s Kitchen show, we’ve been dying to try one! Also, I’m a big Gordon Ramsay fan (I love his show called Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares).

Dish #1: Devil’s on Horseback. Honestly, I was expecting these to be as good as the appetizer at Meat & Potatoes, but they weren’t. Even so, this was still a good appetizer (the bacon was really good)!

Scotch Egg

Dish #2: Scotch Egg with bacon, HP sauce and vegetables. Dish #2 WELL made up for dish #1! This dish was AMAZING! A soft boiled egg that’s fried, with bacon sprinkled on top, dipped in HP sauce- you can’t go through with that! Great textures and smells, too!

Toad-in-the-Hole

Dish #3: Toad-in-the-Hole! Ever since I saw Donnie & Paul Wahlburg try this dish on Wahlburgers, I knew I had to have it! I must say, this was the best dish of the day! You can’t go wrong with sausage wrapped in a croissant-like dough! Plus, the sauces were great (HP and horseradish).

Sticky Toffee Pudding

Dish #4: The piece-de-resistance: Sticky Toffee Pudding with vanilla ice cream!  The brown cake was absolutely FABULOUS! So moist! The vanilla ice cream paired perfectly with the cake and the brown sugar caramel that was drizzled on top. Actually- the brown sugar caramel DRENCHED the vanilla ice cream and cake. I admit- this is THE best dessert I’ve ever had! Gordon Ramsay totally made me forget that I wasn’t having chocolate for dessert. Good job, mate! 🙂

All in all, a great meal, and one of the culinary highlights of my Las Vegas trip!

Three cheers to good food, fabulous art & cultural events,
