DiAnoia’s Eatery was kind enough to make a Dairy-Free & Vegan version of the restaurant’s Chocolate Chai for me! I no longer see the Chocolate Chai on the menu, but I encourage you to either call ahead or ask your server (if you have either any food allergies or dietary restrictions).
*NOTE*: DiAnoia’s Eatery didn’t ask me to write this blog post. I am just a Friendly Pittsburgh Foodie and Yogini, who enjoys sharing her foodie and yoga adventures. Photos captures on an iPhone7s; edited with Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended and Instagram.
For Mother’s Day, I treated my Mom to brunch at DiAnoia’s Eatery in the Strip District! I had been anticipating dining at DiAnoia’s Eatery for quite some time! I had heard nothing but good things about the restaurant, and I was curious as to what the former Executive Chef of Spoon had to offer.
Another shot of my tasty Dairy Free & Vegan Chocolate Chai!
Mom & I shared this lovely Nutella Panzerotti (fried dough filled with Nutella)! HEAVENLY!
Another shot of this delectable Nutella treat!
Mom’s brunch dish of choice: Pannettone French Toast with strawberries, maple syrup and powdered sugar! Considering I ate one-third of this (lol), I can personally vouch for the amazing-ness of this dish!
My brunch dish of choice: Vegetarian Frittata with eggs, red peppers, mushrooms, onions, Provolone, EVO, Marinara and Arugula Salad (I also ordered a side of bacon)! One of THE best Frittatas I’ve EVER had! I let Mom enjoy most of the bacon (in honor of Mother’s Day). ❤
A closeup of this BEAUTIFUL Vegetarian Frittata!
Well there you have it, folks! If you’re looking for a good mix of authentic Italian and Italian American cuisine, as well as a good ambiance and stellar service, I highly recommend DiAnoia’s Eatery (which has been added to my list of favorite brunch spots)!
