Onion Maiden is currently operating under a take-out only model since the COVID-19 pandemic started. I have visited Onion Maiden both during and before the pandemic. Please make sure to check out their Instagram account (which I will link below) for the latest information.
Onion Maiden is one of my FAVORITE Pittsburgh restaurants! Located in the Allentown neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Onion Maiden is a Vegan Fusion restaurant with a sense of humor. I first discovered them at VegFest YEARS ago, and have been a fan ever since.
The first few photos (including the above photo) were from my visit on February 29th, 2020 (a few weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic started in Allegheny County).

This was absolutely INCREDIBLE! I’ve been wanting to try Onion Maiden’s “Bahn Scott” for years; I’m glad I finally did! Of course, the Kale ‘em all Salad and Tots never disappoint.

As a special treat for Easter Sunday, I picked up a “Bahn Scott” sandwich (this was half of it here) and a “Papaya Don’t Preach” salad from Onion Maiden! This Bahn Scott was ever better than the last one, and the Papaya Salad was a refreshing palate cleanser!

Barbecue drum sticks (Vegan style), Collard Greens, Mac ‘N’ Cheese, and Potatoes (all takeout)! Sooo good!
All right, folks; there you have it! Especially if you are #plantbased, I highly recommend ordering some takeout from Onion Maiden! Even if you’re not Vegan, trust me, the food is so good!
Next up: Bitter Ends Garden & Luncheonette!
