*SPECIAL POST*: Lunch at Le Bernardin

A tasting of Le Bernardin’s Sorbets for the Pre-Fixe Lunch Menu (from left-to-right): BlackBerry-Lime, Ruby Red Peach, Clementine and Citrus Coconut. Plus, coffee with sugar!

*NOTE*: I visited Le Bernardin back in June 2018 (WAY before the COVID-19 pandemic hit). Currently, Le Bernardin is closed (due to the pandemic), but they have partnered with City Harvest to donate meals and food to the less fortunate.

Also, neither Le Bernardin nor Chef Eric Ripert have asked me to write this post. I am just a Mindful Pittsburgh Foodie and Yoga Student/Teacher who enjoys sharing her foodie and yoga adventures with others. Photos taken on an iPhone 7s, and edited within Instagram.

This post is LONG overdue, but I am FINALLY sharing the great lunch I had at Le Bernardin (right in New York City’s West Side neighborhood) back in June 2018! My Mom and I dined here right before the Harry Styles concert at Madison Square Garden.

If you haven’t read it yet, I encourage you to go back to my first visit at Le Bernardin back in October 2015: Please click here. This post describes in more depth how I learned about Chef Eric Ripert, and his restaurant Le Bernardin. Not only is Le Bernardin THE best restaurant I’ve been to so far, but holds sentimental value to me (since Eric was Anthony Bourdain’s best friend). So here we go!

Pre-Fixe Lunch Course #1: Mesclun Salad! Market herbs and vegetables: balsamic-shallot vinaigrette. Light yet so enjoyable; the perfect first course! Thanks Chef Eric and staff!
Pre-Fixe Lunch Course #2: Salmon! Barely cooked Faroe Islands Salmon. Meyer Lemon Confit, Miso-Horseradish Emulsion. HEAVENLY! Not too heavy, but not too light either. The perfect balance!

So there you go!

Next post: lunch at Russ and Daughter’s Cafe!
