Re-visiting B52 and the Butterwood Bake Consortium in Lawrenceville

Almond Milk Chai from B52 in Lawrenceville. Perfection!

*NOTE*: Neither B52 nor the Butterwood Bake Consortium asked me to write this post. I am simply a Mindful Pittsburgh Foodie and Yoga Teacher/Student, who enjoys sharing her foodie and yoga adventures with others. Photos taken on an iPhone 7s, and were edited with Instagram. Also, I visited B52 and the Butterwood Bake Consortium in May and November 2019 (WAY before the COVID-19 pandemic hit in the United States).

Ever since my friend and colleague Leah Lizarondo (co-founder of the 412 Food Rescue) told me about B52, they have been on my radar! I swear over the years, the food there has gotten better and better! Besides being all Vegan, B52 is a Palestinian American fusion restaurant. You do not necessarily have to be Vegan to appreciate the food at B52 (it’s good- plan and simple!).

Yes, you guessed it; I am addicted to B52’s Almond Milk Chai! XD

The main course from my November 2019 Birthday Brunch at B52: Falafel Salad (sans Pita, to keep it Gluten-Free)! Sooooo good and healthy! ❤

Yes, I am addicted to the Za’atar fries at B52 as well! THE best!

No Birthday Brunch is complete without some cake! After brunch at B52, my friends and I walked down to the Butterwood Bake Consortium, where I ordered the Vegan Almond Thyme Cupcake with Fig Buttercream. Absolutely breath-taking (and incredible)!

Well, there you have it, folks! Whether you in either in or near Pittsburgh, or are visiting, I HIGHLY recommend dining at both B52 and the Butterwood Bake Consortium!

Next Up: Jamilka Borges and Brian Pekarcik of Spoon’s Churchview Farm Dinner (Summer 2019)!
